Rooting Android (KitKat 4.4, Samsung Galaxy V Plus) without PC with KingoRoot
Rooting Android device without PC? Is it even possible? I couldn't believed it as well at first, but KingoRoot Android app does the job.
KituTech — However as Android's security are enhanced every year, every release, rooting with an app using KingoRoot might not worked again on newer Android versions. Still, we can try, if it fails, it just fails.
Like on my Samsung Galaxy V Plus SM-G318HZ Android phone that runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat, rooting without PC with KingoRoot app is working perfectly.
In fact, KingoRoot is pretty popular back then. Beware that there are so many sources we can download KingoRoot, but after I tried most of them, none had worked.
Until finally I found the legit working of KingoRoot Android app that successfully root my Samsung Galaxy V SM-G318HZ. Yes, I did the job, you can rest assured you're installing the right KingoRoot app that's really working here. 😁
Requirements:
- Make sure to to downgrade our Samsung Galaxy V SM-G318HZ firmware to the older one before it have "Asks security version…" on the Settings → About phone.
- KingoRoot Android app (download link at the end of this post).
Steps rooting Android device without PC using KingoRoot app
- Install the KingoRoot Android app on your phone.
- Connect our phone with internet connection, mobile data or Wi-Fi.
- Launch the KingoRoot Android app, then tap the "One Click Root". Wait until the process is done and showing "Root Succeeded", it should finish in a minute or so.
- Done! If KingoRoot had successfully did the job, we will find a new superuser management app in our application's drawer launcher that's used to manage app that requested superuser or root access.
Now our Android device is rooted, time to mess it up! Just kidding, of course time to try the app that needs root access, mostly for modding and ahem… hacking for whatever reason it is. 😏
Oh and also, if our Android device has a custom recovery, it's recommended to install the custom recovery and re-rooting it by installing/flashing the Chainfire's SuperSU through the recovery, as it is known to be the most reliable rooting method for Android (on my phone's Android version, specifically).
